Announcing Lilia Photography!

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I had some life changes to reveal. I'm happy to announce that my husband Ray and I have started a new part-time wedding and lifestyle photography business, Lilia Photography. Our goal is to tell wedding stories with amazing photographs that capture emotional and unforgettable moments in a fresh and compelling way. We're available for weddings anywhere, as well as portrait work for couples, individuals, and families.

Ray and I wanted to thank Nicole & Peter, and Gladys & Kris for being such good sports and being our first ~~victims~~ models! We're shooting Nicole and Peter's wedding in a few weeks, so we'll share those photos as soon as possible.

Note: I am not quitting my job with Six Apart, and I am 100% committed to my work there. Six Apart has been one of the best companies that I have ever worked at. I just want to give wedding photography a shot because working as a photographer has been a lifelong dream of mine.

Wonderful!. I was a wedding planner in Beverly Hills for about 10 years and boy, it's "cut-throat" there but I had a blast. Nothing more rewarding then celebrating somebody's happiness every day of the week. Maybe one day Kevin and I can get married and you can do the pictures. Great job so far. Can't wait to see more of your fine work.

I'm so glad you are doing this. I have been a fan of your photography every since I saw the first shots on Vox - I love your work. Maybe this summer you could take some shots of me and my girls? I am doing such a bad job of documenting our lives together and I would love to see how you would shoot, er, capture, er, photograph us. Hmm. I never realized until this minute how violent photography can be ;-)
