If you're looking to hear a good live band, check out The Turn-ons from Seattle tonight at the Makeout Room here in SF. They've played with the Strokes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Imperial Teen. My fav song by them is Crystalize, which you can hear here.

Peter Buck from R.E.M. describes them as

...simply my favourite new Seattle band. If I said that their sound was a combination of the Velvets, T. Rex and Spiritualized with a dash of Yo La Tengo, it wouldn't do them justice."

The Turn-ons are playing with Clean Prophets and The Otherside starting at 9:00pm at the Makeout Room, 3225 22nd Street, near Mission. Tickets are only $7.
