Thank god for Mary Tyler Moore. The opening sequence from MTM made such a huge impact on my psyche when I was a wee one back in the 70s. When she tosses her hat up in the air at the end, that's just fantastic. I can't tell you how many times I did that in my front yard, lol. Are there any TV moments that influenced you when you were a little kid?

A few weeks ago, I shared a few photos from Haley and Craig's engagement session. On September 15, Ray and I were honored to document their wedding at the Presidio Golf Course in San Francisco. Haley and Craig are incredibly warm and wonderful people. I was with Haley before the ceremony, and I almost started crying when I heard her practicing her vows--very sincere and heartfelt. Wow, they way they looked at each other during the ceremony, makes my heart swoon, seriously.
Since we were at a golf course, we decided to take the groomsmen out to the nearest hole for a few quick shots. Some jackass golfers decided to scream and yell at us because they thought we were in the way. How rude! Like you couldn't wait five minutes for a guy to get some pics taken on his wedding day? Well, we ignored them and got our shots anyway, and made them wait. ;)

Ayako from SAKK was so kind to send me some goodies from Japan. The mushroom is NTT Docomo's mascot, Docomodake. Isn't he cute? All companies should have cute mascots. :)

Last night Michelle and Jateen were kind enough to invite a few us over for dinner and drinks to meet their twin girls, Elina and Naiyana. The girls are preemies, and so very tiny (5 & 6 pounds each). Luckily they are doing well, despite being born six weeks early. Our friends Josh and Lucy brought their darling, 5 week old baby, Jemma, who is a bruiser compared to the twins. It's interesting that these little girls can say they've known each other almost their entire lives. How many of us can say that about people outside of our families?
With the passing of Luciano Pavarotti, and inspired by a few opera related posts from fellow Voxers like Karen and Voxy Lady M, I thought I'd share my first exposure to the world of opera. For years I never knew the title of this song, I always thought of it as the one that the orange sang! Yay for Sesame Street in the 70s! No wonder those of us who were kids in the 70s are so weird today. :)
Do any of you remember seeing this on Sesame Street? What was your first experience with opera?
Last week Ray and I had a really fun engagement session with Haley and Craig. We're shooting their San Francisco wedding this Saturday, and we're honored to be a part of their special day. Haley and Craig are an incredibly friendly and fun couple, and you can really see the love between them in their photos.
We ended up at Baker Beach because of the gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you're not from SF, you might not know that Baker Beach is also a nude beach, and if you look closely in the slideshow, you might catch a glimpse of a naked guy parading around.

Ray and I were really excited to have a chance to do an engagement session at the Sutro Baths ruins last week. Daniella and Ryan are getting married in October, and we're honored and excited to be a part of their special day. They're such down-to-earth and friendly people, and it's wonderful to see a couple so in love.
The engagement session took place at the Sutro Bath ruins, where Ryan proposed to Daniella. You can view more shots in the engagement session slideshow here.
Ray took the shot above because I was too much of a chicken to walk on this section of the ruins. :(
