Last week Ray and I shot a bridal portrait session with Alexa. We started out at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park here in San Francisco, but that turned out to be an utter disaster because there were about a million tourists there, and it was way too crowded to really get great shots. We aborted mission and headed out to Sutro Heights Park, Mountain View Cemetery in Piedmont, and then finally Lake Temescal in Oakland.

Last Saturday I had a great time at the Maker Faire with Tracy, Mike, and Bob. A good time was had by all, and I have a ton of pics to share. I'll just start out with a my old timey view of few moments at the Maker Faire.
Update: Lots of folks have asked me how I achieved this look. I shoot with a Canon 5D and the 24-70mm f2.8 lens, and the old timey look comes from Totally Rad Actions by The Boutwells, plus a wee bit of my own Photoshop magic.
Congratulations to our very good friends, Nicole and Peter, who were married on a very rainy day this past weekend. The rain didn't dampen their spirits, and they tied the knot with style and poise. They looked like they walked right out of a forties film, so glamorous!

What was your favorite game to play at recess in grade school?
Submitted by Elisheva Chana.
OMG recess -- the absolute best part of the school day! My friends and I played so many different games: hopscotch, basketball, baseball, smoking candy cigarettes (it was the 70s!), four square, and kickball. My favorite would have to be dodgeball because you were allowed to throw balls at your annoying classmates and maybe hurt a few of them (temporarily of course). Yes, I was a not-so-nice child at times. :)
On a side note, I would kill to have hair like this again.

How about the tiny residents of Selby? These itsy-bitsy folks reside in the elaborate permanent display of toy trains and sets at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA. Shot the same day as my fair pics.

Here's my most popular photo on Flickr, shot at the SRL show back in August 2006.
And two of my personal favorites shot at the Dia de los Muertos parade in San Francisco's Mission District:
